Kink Meme
So how does this work?
1. Anonymously post a short prompt. It could be shippy, porny, weird, fluffy, angsty, gen, or whatever else your heart desires.
Remember that a short, open-ended prompt is easier to fill than something highly specific. E.g. "What if Buck and Eddie had exhibitionist sex at the gym?" is more likely to get a fill than "What if Buck and Eddie had sex at the gym, Buck came first, then someone walked in and they never spoke of it again. After a slow burn, they get together while Maddie is giving birth to her and Chimney's third child."
2. If you see a prompt that strikes your fancy, anonymously fill it. Your fill could be 200 words written straight into the comment box, or it could be a multi-part epic. Multiple fills for one prompt are not only acceptable, but awesome.
3. If you post a prompt, try to fill one if you can!
4. Comment on things you're excited about and start discussions. The conversations can be the best part of being on a kink meme! And part of the benefit of being on Dreamwidth is that we are all completely anonymous, so you can deep discuss anything you please without shame.
5. Don't troll, wank, or start discourse. If you don't like a prompt/fill, scroll on past and post something you do like. Treat people well. Harassment will be deleted with prejudice. If you see someone treating people poorly, you can report it here.
Edit: Feel free to post prompts for RPF ships. Let's make sure to only prompt about actively famous people, not relatives or friends of famous people (unless they're famous in their own right), and avoid RPF prompts about real life minors.
Second Edit: Just a reminder to be careful to write out "omegaverse" or "alpha/beta/omega" instead of using the letter abbreviations, as it's a very nasty slur in some parts of the world.
It's that simple! Here is a list of kinks for inspiration, get prompting and have fun!
If anyone is totally new to HTML, I've written up a quick tutorial here; click to expand.
Basic HTML is pretty easy! This is how you make words bold, italicized, underlined, bigger, smaller, etc. You use what are called "tags", and surround the words you want to be affected.
You can see new fic in the fills thread, or on Pinboard for clickable links (If you're using a phone, Pinboard will probably be easiest.).

I'm testing out another journal style, since a couple anons pointed out that the current one is hard to navigate on mobile, don't be alarmed! Edit: ugh, I hate what I've created. Bear with me. Okay, I'm just gonna go with the site default, I think, since it's nice and functional. Apologies to anyone who witnessed the various in-between stages of the journal, lol.

Note: Deanoning your fic, or posting it to your namespace AO3, Tumblr, Twitter, or any other account, is completely fine, but please wait a week or so to do so, so it can belong totally to the kink meme for a bit. Kink memes are not only for fic, they are also communities; we want to celebrate your fic that you made for this community for a bit before it's released into the wider world.
Second note: Deanoning is NOT required. Your fic can live as an anonymous fill for as long as you please. :)

That's the raw HTML. When you post a comment, it will change the text. So when you post, the three HTML tags I'm using there would look:<i>Like this</i><b>Or this</b><h1>Or this</h1>
Like this
Or thisOr this
<i></i> = italics <b></b> = bold <u></u> = underlinedThat's the very basics, and probably all you need for commentfic. Here is a more in-depth guide, and here is the HTML that is usable on Dreamwidth.

FILL: Season 1 Buck, Sex Work
(Anonymous) 2025-05-25 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)Hours after Buck graduated from the Fire Academy—assigned to report to a Captain Nash at the 118 on Monday—he found himself in yet another seedy motel room. Tonight, Buck was with Angela. Angela was a repeat client of his and one of his favorites, a forty-something year old woman who’s recently divorced and discovering herself. And what she’s discovered is a certain enjoyment in Buck’s head between her thighs. There’s a sense of self-satisfaction Buck has in his ability to get her to orgasm over and over again. She yells his name and praises his “miracle tongue”, and she pays Buck extra to stick around for thirty minutes or so in the after while she smokes a cigarette and gossips about her family.
Buck thinks she must be lonely, but he doesn’t mind because he’s a little lonely too. And staying in a motel longer with her decreases how long he spends in his car for the night. So he leans back on the bed in just his boxers, listening to Angela rant.
“And then my bitch sister started going off about how I was the reason Mom left. Can you believe that? She thinks it’s my fault, after everything she did.”
Buck makes the appropriate gasped sound and nods along as she explains everything her sister has been doing over the past twenty years. And, honestly, he agrees with Angela—she sounds like a bitch.
When she’s finished her tirade, Angela takes a long drag of her cigarette. “Anyways, enough about me and my problems. What’s going on in Buck’s life?”
Buck smiles and lets his head fall back onto the pillow. She asks him this every time, and Buck’s always grateful for it, even though he usually gives her vague answers. Protecting his anonymity and all that. But today…
Buck just graduated. And he has no one to tell. Sure, he sent his sister a fucking postcard, but he doesn’t know if she’ll ever get it, and it’s not like he has a return address anymore. Not after Connor and his friends moved from LA making it impossible for Buck to pay the rent there alone. And he doesn’t talk to his parents these days.
So really, Buck’s all alone. Just like Angela, with no one to tell. So he breaks a rule.
“I just graduated, actually.” Buck lifts his head to give her a wry grin. “From the Fire Academy. I’m going to be a firefighter.”
Angela coughs, choking a little on her smoke. “Really?”
“Yeah, passed with flying colors and everything.”
“Then what the hell are you doing here, boy? You should be out celebrating, not listening to all my woes.”
Buck’s eyes rest on the water-stained ceiling. “Maybe I just like spending time with you.”
“Oh, honey.” Angela draws out the word, voice dripped with something too close to pity. “I don’t pay you enough to lie to me like that.”
He chuckles at that, but she doesn’t let up.
“I’m serious. I thought you were some drug addict or something. Why are you selling yourself for sex when you’ve got a whole career ahead of you?”
And that’s the question, isn’t it. There’s a kind of shame that comes with choosing to do this. He probably could have picked up some part-time work as a bartender. Or something, but…
“I’m living out of my car right now,” Buck admits. “I don’t have any family who would help me, and I… I used to do this when I was younger. When I first left my parents.”
Angela’s eyes narrow. “How old were you?”
“Nineteen. I was legal.”
“Barely.”
“Either way, I was younger and it was easy. It’s still easy, in some ways. I’m good at it.”
“Yeah you are.” Angela grins.
“Thanks.” He can feel his cheeks warm despite himself. “I like doing it too, in some ways. Like making people feel good.”
She hums and twirls her cigarette around in her fingers before answering. “When you start your new job, you’ll stop?”
Buck shrugs. “I’ll probably do it less, but the money’s still good. As a probationary firefighter, I still won’t make a lot.” He gives her a flirtatious grin, just the way he knows she likes. “You can still call me, if you’d like.”
“Well, I’ll probably take you up on that for as long as you offer it. Even though the mother in me thinks that you should probably stop.”
“I will when I can.” Buck doesn’t think it’s a lie. “But for now…”
“But for now, you’ll continue to make me come more times in one night than my husband managed in our entire marriage.”
Buck laughs deep at that, and Angela snuffs out her cigarette into the ashtray, and tosses Buck his shirt from the floor.
“Now get out of here. You’ve got to rest up before you start working twenty-four hour shifts.”
———
Buck’s probationary year starts off rocky, to say the least. He’s pretty sure his entire team vies him as an asshole fuck boy, and showing up to work in clothes that smell like day-old sweat certainly doesn’t help their opinion of him. At least the station has showers, and when he works, he gets to spend the night in a real, bonafide bed.
The combination of his salary and his… side job add up slowly, but a couple months in, and Buck has almost enough for a deposit on an apartment. Now if only he could find a landlord willing to look past his credit score…
His impulsivity takes him back a couple steps. In an effort to make his new captain like him, Buck spends way too much of his savings on Springteen tickets. He lies and claims that he was given them by a friend who ended up having a time conflict so he doesn’t look so pathetic, trying to buy his captain’s favor. But either way, it works and Buck thinks Bobby likes him. Maybe he’ll let him stick around.
And Buck loves his job. He loves helping people, he loves wearing the uniform, and he loves being a firefighter. He wouldn’t do anything to risk losing it, and being a prostitute would certainly be grounds, but he can’t afford to stop yet.
But no one can find out. Not about his sex work, and not about him still sleeping in his car five months in.
All in all, Buck is grateful that it’s Hen.
Buck should have been more careful. Shouldn’t have met with a client after such a crazy shift. But this client always pays well, and Buck’s only meeting with a few clients these days anyways, and isn’t picking up any new ones, so he can’t really afford to say no.
So, he lets the guy fuck his mouth and his ass and press bruises and hickeys into his skin, and he washes himself up quickly in the motel bathroom before stepping out. He needs a real shower, but this man always hates when he overstays his welcome.
Buck’s bone tired. So tired, that when he walks out of the motel room, he almost doesn’t notice the woman stepping up to the one nextdoor. Almost.
He looks over just in time to catch Hen’s expression shifting from something wild into confusion. Her hand raised to knock on the door drops.
“Buck?”
“Hen?” Buck’s voice comes out wrecked, and he winces hearing it.
“What are you doing here?” she asks.
Buck sets his shoulders back. On the defense. “What are you doing here?”
Hen looks from the door to Buck and back to the door again. In a split second, she makes a decision.
“Nothing. I’m doing… nothing. I’m leaving. I shouldn’t have come here.”
Buck gives her a long look, but Hen doesn’t elaborate. She steps in closer to look at Buck.
The light of the full moon is no doubt illuminating the fresh bruises on his skin, and Buck doesn’t meet her eyes.
“Jesus, Buckley. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Buck pushes past her and heads for the stairs. He’s all but power-walking to his car, but Hen matches his pace.
“Look, Buck. Obviously you just— and I’m not judging. God, that’d be hypocritical as fuck considering what I almost did, but I’m— I know this awkward, but I care about you, okay? I’m honestly just asking if you’re alright? Whatever guy you were with must be some kind of vampire.”
Buck stiffens, and Hen misunderstands it.
“Or— or girl,” she’s quick to say. Which is nice, considering Buck isn’t out at work, but very unnecessary. It’s obvious from Buck’s voice that he was sucking dick. But if she accepts Buck being closeted as an excuse for him being shady right now, he’ll take it.
“Look, can we just forget about this?” Buck asks, opening his car door with more force than necessary. “Can we both just go home?”
He’s lying. Buck doesn’t have a home to go to, but he needs to get out of Hen’s concerned gaze.
Buck gets in his car and tries to pretend that Hen isn’t watching him. His car doesn’t start.
“Shit.”
“I can give you a ride,” Hen offers.
Buck shakes his head. “I have cables in the back. You could help me jump it?”
He pointedly doesn’t talk to Hen after the cars are hooked up. He stares at the pavement instead, hoping she’ll leave well enough alone.
“I was going to sleep with Eva.” Hen’s voice cuts through the silence, and Buck looks up.
“Eva?”
“My ex. She got out of prison. I was… I don’t know what I was thinking. Maybe it’s the full moon.” Hen rolls her eyes. “It doesn’t matter. If you hadn’t walked out of that door and snapped me out of it…”
Hen trails off, and Buck doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do with this.
“I’m only telling you this to let you know that… It’s okay. Whatever it is you’re doing, or whatever it is that’s making you so nervous around me. It’s fine. I’m not going to judge you. Again, I’d be the world’s biggest hypocrite.”
Buck nods, but when he opens his mouth the only thing he says is. “Do you think the engine’s been running long enough?”
The jump didn’t work. The battery of Buck’s Jeep is probably dead. If Hen wasn’t here, it’d be fine. He’d just sleep in the motel parking lot and call an Uber to he buy a battery tomorrow, but Hen’s here and she’s about to offer to give him a ride and he doesn’t have anywhere for her to take him. He needs to come up with an excuse fast.
“I’ll just go back up,” Buck says. “Stay the night.”
“No, Buck, I’ll give you a ride.”
“Seriously, I want to stay. He’s a mechanic. He’ll probably fix it for free if I ask tomorrow.”
Buck’s scared sometimes of how easy the lies fall off him.
Hen’s silent for a bit at his pronoun mention, then she keeps going.
“He’ll fix your car for free but you’re meeting at a motel?”
Buck doesn’t have an answer for that.
“Just let me drive you home. We have the next few days off, I’ll pick you up tomorrow and take you to get a battery. It’s the least I could do, really. You saved me from making the worst mistake of my life.”
And so Buck gets into Hen’s car. He ends up giving her the address of Connor’s old place. He doesn’t know who’s living there now, and he hopes to God that Hen’s not someone who waits and watches the person they drop off go through the door, because he doesn’t know what he’d do with that. He’s only got so many lies left in him.
So when Hen pulls up to the house and sees a minivan and several children’s bikes in the driveway, and says, “Are you sure this is the right address?”, Buck knows he’s been caught out.
“Uh.” His brain is like an etch-a-sketch. “It’s where I used to live.”
“And why are we here?”
“I…” Buck doesn’t know how to finish that sentence.
“The truth, Buckley. Please.”
“I used too live here, and then the guys I was living with moved, and I couldn’t afford this place. And, uh, rent in LA is really expensive, and, well, I have a really shit credit score.”
“What?” is all Hen says.
“Can you just take me back to my car?” Buck spits out, looking forward through the windshield. His stomach rolls. I’ve said too much.
“Your car? Are you telling me that you’re sleeping in your car?”
He doesn’t even bother with a response at that point, the shame settling in somewhere deep. Nobody was supposed to find out about this. At least she doesn’t know what else he’s been doing.
“Jesus.” Hen splits the word dramatically. Je-sus. “I’m not gonna drop off at your car, Buck. You’re coming home with me.”
“Hen, no.” Buck whips around to her. “That’s not what’s happening.”
“I’m driving this car back to my house. You’re coming with whether you like it or not.”
“Then just drop me off here. I’ll Uber back like I was planning.”
“You’re not getting out of this car.” Hen pulls away now, speeding more than she should on the residential road like she’s worried Buck is going to literally jump out.
“And what are you going to tell Karen then?” Buck tries, feeling mean to cover up his embarrassment. “That you fucking happened upon me at a motel? Gonna tell her what you were doing there?”
Hen sighs. “I’ll have to tell her that I was considering visiting Eva. She deserves my honesty. But not tonight. Karen’s polite. She’ll let you stay without questions. We can help, Buck. You don’t have to do everything alone.”
“I don’t need your help,” Buck continues, but his heart’s not really in the fight. Not after how long this day has been. He still feels gross, and he thinks Hen would let him shower if he asked.
“I want to give it to you. Please.”
Buck nods. He lets the rest of the drive pass in silence, resting his forehead against the cool glass of the window.
When they get to the house, Karen is already in bed. Buck doesn’t even have to ask to use the shower because Hen all but pushes him towards it.
“You smell like sex and motel rooms.”
“Gee thanks.”
She gives him a towel and a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt. “The pants will probably be short.”
Buck waves it off, feeling small all of sudden. The weight of Hen’s kindness is already crushing. He doesn’t know what to do with it.
“I’m going to bed. I’ll set some blankets on the couch for you, alright?”
“Okay.” Buck steps towards the shower, but then he turns back. “Oh, and Hen?”
“Yeah?”
“Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it.” Hen’s face is unbearably soft. “Seriously, Buck. I’m happy to help.”
A/N: Not super resolved at the end, but I had a lot of fun writing it!!! Might write more where someone actually finds about about the sex work if anyone’s interested in a part 2. Feel free to let me know what you might want to see in it / who you’d wanna see find out :)

(Anonymous) 2025-05-25 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)And Buck! Oh, Buck, he's trying so hard, to stand on his own and make it work, I really liked his first client and how this was somewhat of a choice for him, trying to bartend around shifts would be hard and having to stand on his feet for hours after fighting fires hoping for good tips, it makes sense.
I'm glad he has Hen in his corner now, the image of him in her sweats made me laugh, those legs are too long, lol.
Thank you so much for filling my prompt, you made my day! ❤️
