Eddie can't believe this is his breaking point. But then again, it makes about as much sense as anything else.
They've been dancing around this for weeks. Weeks where Buck goes to apartment showing after apartment showing, but somehow nothing is ever right (this may be partly Eddie's fault, though Eddie just thinks it's a coincidence that whenever Buck asks his opinion on a place, there's always something seriously wrong with it). Weeks where they've fallen into a routine – work, groceries, cooking, laundry, my turn to vacuum, your turn to scrub the toilet – that's so seamless it should scare him.
Weeks where they finally decided (and he can't remember which one of them suggested it first) that they might as well share the bed since neither of them was getting any younger and the couch wasn't comfortable for more than a couple of nights in a row. Saves on laundry, too, Buck had said, as if he were looking for more reasons, ones that didn't include I like waking up beside you.
